Draft, pending legal review

Privacy Policy

Draft · October 2026

This draft describes how Primer handles information today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and may change before launch.

  1. 01

    What stays on your phone

    Your selfie, face and makeup scans, kit, saved looks and plans are stored on your device (in your browser storage, IndexedDB and localStorage). Primer does not keep copies on its servers. Clearing your browser data or deleting the app removes them.

  2. 02

    What is sent to AI providers

    To work, Primer sends the following to an AI provider for processing. Depending on how the service is configured, that provider is Google, OpenAI or Anthropic:

    • camera frames and photos, to plan a look, check your progress, and answer the stylist;
    • photos used to generate a preview image of a look on you;
    • the text of your requests to the stylist.

    Those providers handle the data under their own terms and policies.

  3. 03

    Voice

    Text of spoken coaching lines is sent to ElevenLabs to generate audio. Audio is played on your device.

  4. 04

    Accounts, waitlist and usage

    We store waitlist email addresses, invite records and a per-user count of daily usage in Supabase. Emails to you (such as invites) are sent through Resend.

  5. 05

    Analytics and error reports

    We use PostHog for product analytics. In the app it does not capture camera images or screenshots, and there is no session replay. We use Sentry to receive error reports so we can fix bugs.

  6. 06

    Hosting

    Primer is hosted on Vercel, which processes requests and logs needed to serve the site.

  7. 07

    Your choices

    You can delete on-device data by clearing site data in your browser or removing the app. To ask about waitlist or account records, contact us at the address on the website.

  8. 08

    Changes

    We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest draft.
